AI Engineer

Your responsibilities include designing, developing, and deploying AI solutions powered by large language models (LLMs). You will create applications such as agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and multi-step reasoning systems for real users in production. You are responsible for measuring and improving system performance, focusing on key metrics like accuracy, latency, and cost. This involves using automated testing, A/B experiments, and human-in-the-loop evaluation.

Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to bring AI solutions from prototype to production, making sure that technical feasibility matches business priorities. You also help the team grow by mentoring junior members, contributing to code reviews, and sharing AI best practices within the chapter and the wider organization.

Finally, you stay up to date with the latest developments in AI and LLM tools and identify new techniques that could help improve our products and processes.

Your Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying ML or AI systems in production.
• 2+ years of experience with LLM application development: context engineering, RAG architectures (vector databases, embedding strategies, chunking), building and testing tools, and model evaluation.

Your Skills:

• Solid understanding of statistical methods, machine learning techniques, and experiment design.
• Experience building or contributing to agentic workflows or multi-step reasoning systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with familiarity in LLM frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, Haystack).
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and CI/CD practices for ML/AI.
• A strong ownership mindset, with a proven track record of independently driving technical projects and proactively solving problems.
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical work to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with ownership over quality and delivery.
